| O
Celeiro is a self contained cottage situated amongst huge vineyards and
adjacent to an 18th Century Manor House. The estate is located just outside
Ponte de Lima in the beautiful Lima Valley.
Both
this cottage and the adjacent two person cottage have their own entrance
and have recently been redecorated and improved to offer guests a very
comfortable and enjoyable stay.
The
apartment is ideal for those who want to relax and unwind in a peaceful,
beautiful environment. The nearby town of Ponte de Lima has a spectacular
golf
course and many good, and inexpensive, restaurants. The cottage is
within walking distance of the Roman bridge which crosses the River Lima
taking you to the town.
Once
home to the estate workers, this converted two bedroom cottage has a sitting
room with fireplace, sofas, television and music centre.
There
is a fitted kitchenette concealed behind screens in the sitting-room. There
are two twin bedrooms with an ensuite shower room.
There
is a private terrace, with views over the vineyards, ideal for outside
dining.
An
additional bed is available, for an extra charge, which can be used without
noticeable loss of space.
The
accommodation is suitable for children and a car is recommended if staying
at this location. Viana do Castelo, Braga, the Minho Region generally and
Galicia in Spain are all well worth visiting.
Whilst
December and January can be cool (for Portugal), spring starts in February
which is known as the month of mimosa when the trees on the mountain side
are covered in yellow flowers.
March
and April are good months to go walking in the area or the neighbouring
National Park of Peneda Geres. June to August months are for those who
prefer hotter weather and a less active holiday. |
