The property is located between the mountains, where you can go for long hikes, and the Atlantic Ocean.  There are wonderful views of the countryside and the sea.

The 2 one bedroom cottages, called Nicolina and Nikita, are next to each other and can be taken together or separately. They are quite separate from the main house which is situated across the lawn.

Both cottages have a kitchenette with a fridge/freezer, 2 electric rings, microwave, toaster, coffee machine and cooking utensils.

The owner provides bed and bath linen, dish cloths and may lend beach towels if ncessary!

The living/cooking area has a dining table for three persons and a sofa bed suitable for one child (or for short stays, a 3rd adult).

There is a bedroom with 2 single beds and a bathroom with shower. Both cottages have central heating, a ceiling fan and window netting to keep any insects out.

Cottage Nicolina has satellite television. Cottage Nikita has terrestrial television with Portuguese and Spanish channels.

Each cottage has a small covered terrace with garden furniture. There is a barbecue available.

Opposite the cottages there is a garden with fruit and flower trees and the swimming pool.

The dimensions of the swimming pool are 10 metres by 5 metres with a depth varying from 1.20 to 1.80 metres.

The property has a garage with capacity for two cars but the narrow old passage to the property is only suitable for small cars. Larger cars can park 50 metres away.

Afife has a long sandy beach which is popular with surfers. Between the beach and the main national road there is a farmland.

The cottages are approximatley 1 kilometre from the center of the village and 2 kms from the beach.

The owner is willing to meet guests at Porto (Oporto) or Vigo airports and to organise tours of the area (please ask directly).

Guests staying for over a week you can use the washing machine and a change of bed and bath linen is provided once a week.

Guests are asked not to smoke in the cottages: no smoking indoors.

There are a number of excellent golf courses in the area.
