Douro cottages or near Oporto cottages are usually in the
grounds of a manor house, and they have been converted to provide high quality
accommodation.
They will have a kitchen or kitchenette with one or two bedrooms with a private bathroom. They are usually a few together near to the manor house and they share a swimming pool. They are in rural areas and often near a small village. Almost always they are surrounded by the vineyards of the estate. The owner will ensure that you have a excellent holiday and at many you will be able to sample the estate wine or, in the Douro valley, the Port Wine. |
