The area has excellent connections with Lisbon, Porto and Spain and the Quinta is well located for visiting some of the most interesting places in central Portugal including the magnificent mountains of the Serra da Estrela, the Serra do Caramulo, the Bussaco Park and the old University of Coimbra.

The accommodation in the main house comprises 1 double bedroom with ensuite shower room located on the ground floor and with direct access to the garden. On the first floor is a twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom and a terrace with views over the lake.

The lounge area on the first floor has a computer with Wireless Internet.

There are also 4 cottages belonging to the property.

Casa Anexo is an 18th century rustic stone farmhouse facing the river. The covered patio and olive trees in the garden offer a shady refuge from the summer sun and provide a very enjoyable location to dine al fresco.

On the ground floor, there is a twin bedroom with shower room, a lounge with a retractable double bed and a kitchenette with 2 electric hobs, fridge and microwave.

The first floor has a double bedroom and a twin bedroom, both with ensuite shower room, a large living room and a kitchen with hob, oven, fridge, microwave, coffee machine and kettle. Each floor has a private entrance so they can be rented separately.

Casa das Mimosas is located a little further up the hill. It contains two apartments, each one having a private entrance from its own garden. There are verandas and gardens on different levels. If taken together, they can accommodate up to 8 persons.

The lower apartment has a living room with television and 2 sofa beds suitable for 2 children. It opens to a spacious terrace and private garden with views over the river. The kitchenette has 2 electric rings, fridge, microwave and kettle. There is one double bedroom and a shower room.

The upper apartment has a private garden featuring olive trees and oaks. The sitting/dining room, with open plan kitchenette and fireplace, leads to a veranda, which benefits from panoramic views, and has a barbecue. The kitchenette offers the same facilities as the one in the lower apartment. This apartment has 1 double bedroom and 1 twin bedroom with 1 sofa bed. There is a bathroom with bath and shower, and a separate toilet.

Casa da Abelenda is superbly located for those who are seeking further privacy. It is located five minutes walk from the main house and stands n 12 acres of land with various types of trees, overlooking the beautiful valley and a small stream.

The living/dining room has fireplace, 2 sofa beds and television. The kitchen is equipped with 2 electric rings, fridge, microwave and kettle. The sitting room and the kitchen open to a wooden veranda.

On the ground floor, there is a twin bedroom with ensuite shower room, a double bedroom and a separate bathroom.

Activities available at the property include football table, table tennis table, free use of canoes, horseback riding and mountain bike for hire.
