Coimbra is a former capital of Portugal from the days when the Lisbon area was under occupation of the Moors.

The two cottages are very similar in size and have the same facilities. Like all the rental accommodation, the furnishing theme corresponds with their name.

Music Cottage is decorated with drums and portuguese guitars.

On the ground floor there is a living/dining room with a table seating up to 4 persons and a sofa bed suitable for one person.

A door leads out onto a private terrace with a table and chairs which is ideal for dining outdoors during the summer months.

The kitchenette is concealed behind doors and is equipped for preparing light meals. There is a small fridge, electric ring, microwave and a kettle.

The upper floor has a double bedroom with ensuite shower room.

Seamstress Cottage is decorated with steam irons, a sewing machine and a beautiful collection of thimbles.

The ground floor has a living/dining room with a table seating up to 4 persons.

There is a small sofa which can also be used as a child's bed.

This cottage also has a door leading onto a private terrace, which faces the main patio, and has a table and chairs.

The kitchenette is equipped with a small fridge, 2 electric rings, microwave and a kettle.

The upper floor has a twin bedroom and ensuite shower room.

Facilities include an "honesty" bar, with a piano, open for drinks & snacks.  Meals are available on request.

The swimming pool is set in the lawned gardens and is also used by the guests staying in the Manor House.

Guests staying at the Cottages may use the living rooms in the Manor House if they wish.

Coimbra town centre is approximately  23 kilometres away. Porto (Oporto) airport is about a 1hour and 20 minute drive away, with almost the whole journey being by modern motorway.
